Kirsten Duell
Project Assistant

Kirsten was born in upstate New York but moved often. She has lived in 10 states and 3 foreign countries. She has made Colorado her home since 1998.

Previously, Kirsten worked with a for-profit healthcare consulting firm where she got a taste of nonprofit work after being assigned to a project called Spirit of Women. Her next job search aimed at finding a job through which she could make a difference in the community.

Kirsten joined ACY team in 2001. She lends her support wherever needed and organizes asset-building events to further the asset movement.

In her spare time, Kirsten devotes herself and her registered therapy dog, Poko, to helping disadvantaged/handicapped children through Animal Assisted Therapy and organizing the children's programs for Denver Pet Partners.

Kirsten and Poko live in southwest Denver with their two cats, Wizard and Imp.
